Kaskasi

Germany (342 MW)

Reference

In 2022, Bladt Industries delivered the offshore substation (EPCI contract), including the monopile foundation with a transition piece, for the Kaskasi Offshore Wind Farm for RWE (innogy SE). This contract was executed in close cooperation with our long-term partners Semco Maritime and ISC Engineering.

Bladt Industries was heavily involved in providing guidance and input for the optimisation of the most feasible fabrication design throughout the final construction process to ensure the best outcome for innogy SE.

Bladt Industries had the overall responsibility of the project and performed the construction of the offshore substation designed by ISC Engineering. Furthermore, Semco Maritime designed and carried out the electrical installations of the 342 MW OSS for Kaskasi Offshore Wind Farm.

This was the 22nd substation that Bladt Industries has fabricated, and the fourth to be delivered as a turnkey project to German waters. Thus, Bladt Industries has the knowledge of how to obtain the relevant approvals from the German authorities.

The wind farm is situated off Heligoland in the same grid connection cluster as innogy’s 295-MW Nordsee Ost wind farm.
