CS WIND Offshore welcomes European Commissioner for Energy and Housing, Dan Jørgensen to Aalborg

The visit provided an opportunity to showcase the scale, complexity, and industrial strength behind offshore wind foundation manufacturing, and allowed for meaningful dialogue on the European offshore wind sector.

In our production, the Commissioner could see firsthand how we manufacture Transition Pieces, converting steel plates into offshore-ready structures.

Commissioner Dan Jørgensen reflected on the visit by highlighting that strong local industrial capabilities are crucial for Europe to achieve energy independence, saying:

“Keeping a strong and competitive industry in Europe is crucial. Therefore, it was a pleasure to visit CS WIND Offshore and speak with both management and workers. We need skills and dedication like theirs to turn Europe’s renewable ambitions into reality.”

With hundreds of employees in North Jutland, Denmark, we carry responsibility as a major local employer as well as a reliable partner for major developers building the offshore wind farms supporting Europe’s energy security and decarbonization goals.

We appreciated sharing practical insights from the factory floor, discussing current market realities, and highlighting the framework conditions needed to scale offshore wind at the pace Europe requires.

This gave Commissioner Dan Jørgensen deeper insight into industry realities and needs, and how his work can support progress in our sector.
