Sustainability Strategy
Our approach is strategic, governed from the top, and focused on the issues that matter most.
Oversight and Governance
The Board of Directors holds the ultimate responsibility for ESG aspects in CSWO. They delegate day-to-day delivery to the ESG Steering Committee, comprised of executive leaders across functions including Operations, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Finance and Legal compliance. The role of the ESG Steering Committee is ensuring ESG is integrated into core business decisions and helps resolve ESG matters that require cross-department collaboration and resource allocation.
ESG Due Diligence
CS Wind Offshore promotes sustainable supply chain practices by conducting risk-based ESG due diligence aligned with the OECD framework. The company evaluates policy compliance by suppliers, identifies patterns demonstrating strong and improving sustainability efforts.
Double Materiality Assessment
Our strategy is informed by our 'Double Materiality Assessment' (DMA) a rigorous process aligned with the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). This analysis identifies the sustainability topics that are most significant both in terms of impact on people and the environment ('impact materiality') and their potential financial effect on our company ('financial materiality'). This ensures our resources are focused on our most material topics.
CSWO Materiality Matrix topics include: Climate Change, Pollution, Water, Biodiversity, Circular Economy, Own Workforce, Workers in Value Chain, Local Communities, Governance.
