“A great start to the week, we have received the first plates, and they appear to be of excellent quality.”

Morten Jensen, Measurement & Dimension Controller

Thomas Olesen, also Measurement & Dimension Controller, adds: “We are all good here on the quay, everything is proceeding as planned."

This initial shipment includes 58 steel plates, each approximately 24 m in length and weighing between 35 and 40 tons. The plates are scheduled to be prepared for the first welding next week, while other colleagues have already begun production of secondary steel components.

With Nordlicht 1, we continue supporting Vattenfall’s offshore wind farms, following projects such as Vesterhav Nord, Vesterhav Syd, Kriegers Flak, Horns Rev 3, Sandbank, Horns Rev 1, and Lillgrund - all firmly installed in the seabed generating electricity for European consumers🏘️🔌
