CEO of Green Power Denmark visits CS WIND Offshore, Aalborg Denmark
This week, Kristian Jensen, CEO of Green Power Denmark, visited our headquarters and foundation production site in Aalborg.
The meeting centered on the current situation of the offshore wind industry. We presented an update on market conditions, addressing both supply and demand trends, as well as the outlook for upcoming offshore wind farms in Denmark. We highlighted the significant opportunity for Danish suppliers to contribute to domestic initiatives, thereby supporting local employment and generating economic benefits within Denmark.
The conversation focused on how this policy will affect the availability, cost, and sustainability of materials, and its anticipated impact on the offshore wind supply chain across Europe.
Casper Toft, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Sales & Business Development at CS WIND Offshore shared insights into our work with the Offshore Wind Foundations Alliance (OWFA) and the vital role that factories such as ours play in supporting Europe’s energy independence.
“The skills and capabilities developed in Aalborg over many years are truly impressive, particularly regarding scale, complexity, and craftsmanship. It is crucial to preserve this collective expertise, not only to safeguard local jobs in North Jutland but also to underpin Denmark’s energy security and competitiveness. The manufacture of offshore wind components, utilizing highly specialized equipment and knowledge, is central to this objective.”
We are grateful for Kristian’s engagement and look forward to further strengthening our collaboration with Green Power Denmark.
